EY Parthenon seeks a Manager in Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy to lead insolvency engagements and drive financial, strategic and operational solutions for clients. You will work with a global, multi-disciplinary team across markets and industries, delivering high-impact results.

You will mentor staff, contribute to training, and participate in business development while aligning with senior leaders to deliver exceptional client satisfaction and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in commerce or law or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of related restructuring/advisory experience with a track record of strong performance.
• Hold or be willing to obtain ARITA qualification.
• Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Passionate about contributing to the community; collaborative and client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead assignment planning on behalf of the engagement Partner, defining scope, conflicts, budgets and staffing.
• Manage formal insolvency matters (administrations, liquidations, receiverships) with appropriate autonomy.
• Deliver detailed financial and commercial analysis, identify issues and liaise with management or stakeholders.
• Draft stakeholder presentations and assist with delivery.
• Share technical knowledge; mentor team members and contribute to training.
• Lead business development to grow client relationships and opportunities.
• Ensure high client satisfaction and drive repeat engagements.
• Supervise and coach staff at all levels.

As part of our Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team you will work across a variety of deals to develop your capabilities, and you will help clients find financial, strategic and operational solutions to improve liquidity, credit availability and returns to their stakeholders. • Work with the national team on market leading medium and large insolvency appointments
• Work a cross restructuring and turnaround engagements through early intervention projects such as independent business reviews, safe harbour advice, financial sustainability and counterparty reviews, and liquidity reviews
• Align yourself with sectors that you are passionate about, with the support of the senior leadership team, driving opportunities to enhance your experiences and expertise
• Have the opportunity to work with the other teams across EY-Parthenon such as Debt Advisory, Transaction Diligence, Valuations and Business Modelling, Real Estate Advisory, Infrastructure Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions to provide the best possible solution for our clients

As we continue to grow our national Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy practice, we are recruiting for multiple Manager opportunities . These positions are available across our Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra offices.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead assignment planning on behalf of the engagement Partner to include defining the scope of work, clearing conflicts, budgeting issues and dealing with staff planning
• Have strong technical insolvency knowledge and be able to run formal insolvency matters (voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships etc) with relative autonomy under the supervision of the appointees
• Deliver detailed financial and commercial analysis, identify key issues and potential areas of sensitivity and following these up with management or stakeholders as appropriate
• Drafting presentations to stakeholders and assisting with delivery
• Proactively share technical knowledge with team, play a key role in team training
• Lead business development activities to sell work through development of internal and external client relationship networks
• Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements
• Successfully supervise, coach, and mentor all levels of staff

Skills and attributes for success

• Have completed a degree in commerce or law or equivalent.
• At least 5-8years of related work experiencewith a track record of strong performance in restructuring/advisory work either on behalf of creditors or distressed companies
• Already hold, or willing to complete the ARITA (Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association) qualification
• An aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Passionate in making a positive contribution to our community
• A collaborative approach and commitment to client service
