Job summary

EY-Parthenon in Australia seeks a Manager to support and deliver Deal Technology services on transactions of all sizes. This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, Naarm – Melbourne or Warrang - Sydney.

You will analyse IT risks, advise on separation or integration, and lead deliverables for clients across diverse deal scenarios. The role requires strong experience in M&A, technology and consulting, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage engagement teams and client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in advisory or consulting across M&A/technology.
• Experience in two of the three domains: mergers, technology, advisory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate key IT risks impacting deal value for buy-side clients.
• Advise clients on separation or integration from a technology perspective.
• Develop and present deliverables; support business development activities.
• Identify client risks throughout the transaction lifecycle and mitigate.
• Analyse IT financials and highlight considerations for the deal.
• Lead engagement teams in delivering Deal Technology services.
• Act as main client contact for our Deal Technology scope.

EY-Parthenon offers corporate, government and private equity clients professional transaction advice and services, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through to deal execution, and transaction integration or separation. Transaction Strategy and Execution – Deal Technology is a dedicated team within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Transactions practice that helps clients achieve their strategic objectives in acquisitions and divestments.

We cover a wide range of technology aspects in a transaction, including IT, cyber, software and data due diligence, separation or integration analysis, value creation, synergy assessments, , and supporting the integration or separation process from a technology workstream perspective. With an unrivalled track record in the industry, you will have the opportunity to be part of the largest dedicated integrations, separations and transition practice in Oceania.

This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne or Warrang - Sydney.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, you will support and deliver Deal Technology services on transactions of all sizes. This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne. Some of your responsibilities include:

• Analysing and evaluating key IT risks and considerations that impact deal value for buy-side clients
• Being a trusted advisor to clients on technical matters relating to separation or integration assessments
• Developing and presenting key deliverables to clients as well as supporting in business development activities
• Identifying key client risks throughout the transaction lifecycle and mitigating these ahead of time
• Analysing and evaluating a company’s IT financials and highlighting considerations for the transaction
• Managing engagement teams day-to-day in the delivery of our Deal Technology services
• Acting as the main point of contact to our client for our Deal Technology scope of services
• Collaborating widely with the broader EY-Parthenon division and other teams within EY to bring the best of EY to solve the client’s challenges throughout the transaction life‑cycle
