The opportunity

As Consultant at EY-Parthenon Transaction Analytics you’ll join a unique and rapidly growing area leveraging data to derive insights through a commercial lens and enhancing our clients decision making on M&A transactions. This is a position based in our Sydney and Melbourne offices.

This is a hybrid position based in either Warrang Sydney or Naarm Melbourne.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver data-driven solutions to enhance client decision making during financial due diligence and M&A transactions.
• Work on exciting challenging and demanding client projects while also innovating and developing assets that generate strategic and commercially relevant insights.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Transaction Analytics team and develop your own career in a market-leading environment.

Skills and attributes for success

• Are you a corporate finance professional who jumps at the chance to dive into data and uncover deeper insights into business performance and growth?
• Are you a qualified (or almost qualified) accountant at a mid-to-top tier firm having picked up some analytics along the way and keen to break into the world of M&A?
• Or maybe your background is as a data analyst yet you feel more comfortable as the storyteller and have a proven ability to use data to support high impact decisions (corporate strategy finance marketing investing etc.)

A Senior Consultant level candidate will typically have at least 3 years of experience and are expected to coach juniors through solving problems more independently and improving on quality.

A Consultant level candidate will typically have up to 3 years of experience and can be confidently identified as being on the growth path to our Senior Consultant level expectations.

The technologies we use day-in and day-out include Alteryx Power BI (including advanced DAX) Power Query and Power Pivot. We occasionally dabble with the likes of Python R and SQL which tend to be more on the basis of innovation or new types of projects.
