Fuse Recruitment is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to appoint a Profile Extrusion Technician – Afternoon Shift (Permanent) in Crestmead, QLD. The role offers $37.13–$39.75/hr plus a bonus and a four‑day workweek, with overtime available.

Profile Extrusion Technician – Afternoon Shift (Permanent)

Crestmead, QLD | Profile Extrusion | $37.13–$39.75/hr + Bonus | 4-Day Workweek

We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturer that has recently invested in its operations and is continuing to grow its profile extrusion team. They’re looking for an experienced Profile Extrusion Technician to join their afternoon shift in a stable, permanent position.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience operating profile extrusion machinery who takes pride in product quality, efficient production and maintaining high manufacturing standards.

Shift & Hours

• Monday to Wednesday: 3:00pm – 1:00am
• Thursday: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
• Overtime available as required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor profile extrusion machinery to produce products consistently in line with quality specifications.
• Ensure correct machine settings and running conditions are maintained throughout production.
• Complete product changeovers efficiently, ensuring dies, tooling, raw materials and associated equipment are ready when required.
• Read and follow product data sheets and specifications to ensure finished profiles meet required standards.
• Measure and record critical product dimensions and verify profile fit against mating aluminium components.
• Check packaging requirements and ensure products are correctly packed and identified.
• Identify and report product defects, dimensional variations or other discrepancies to the Supervisor.
• Return dies, tooling and mating aluminium components to their designated storage locations after each job.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area around extrusion machinery and downstream equipment.
• Follow all site safety, quality control and housekeeping procedures.

• Strong understanding of product specifications, dimensional checks and quality control.
• Ability to identify quality issues and make or report adjustments as required.

• A reliable, safety-conscious approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
