Job summary

The Shire of Cloncurry offers a full-time WHS traineeship designed to provide practical, on-the-job learning while you complete the required qualification. You will work closely with the Human Resources and Safety team to develop real-world skills across diverse Council operations.

We encourage locals to apply; eligibility for the traineeship, a C Class Driver Licence, a National Police Clearance and two professional references are required.

• supporting WHS documentation and record keeping
• helping maintain training, compliance and safety records
• participating in safety meetings and workplace initiatives
• assisting with hazard and incident information
• supporting WHS communication and awareness activities
• learning how workplace health and safety requirements apply across Council operations
• providing general administrative support to the Human Resources and Safety team
