Job summary

Aveo is inviting expressions of interest for Casual Food & Beverage Attendants to join our Brisbane Southside & Bayside retirement communities. You’ll deliver friendly dining service, assist with light food prep, and help set up and pack down dining spaces while building connections with residents.

We’re seeking customer-focused individuals with a positive attitude who can thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and contribute to a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is desirable, but a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is most important
• Friendly, people-focused attitude with a genuine passion for customer service
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
• Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

Responsibilities

• Use the POS system to take orders while providing friendly, attentive, and personalised service to residents
• Serve meals and drinks throughout service times, ensuring every dining experience is welcoming and enjoyable
• Assist with light food preparation, including plating meals and preparing simple items such as salads
• Support the setup and pack-down of events and dining spaces, maintaining clean, organised, and inviting areas throughout the day
• Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging

The Opportunity

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll deliver excellent dining service, assist with food preparation, help set up and pack down dining areas and events, and build meaningful relationships that enhance the daily lives of residents. In this role, you’ll do more than serve meals - you’ll support our residents, foster meaningful connections, and help create a sense of community.

We are currently opening Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Casual Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team across our Brisbane Southside & Bayside retirement communities.

Your Impact

What we offer

• Casual Rate: $37.48/hr including casual loading+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Part Time Rate: $29.98/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
