Job summary

ZD STONE Pty Ltd in Yatala, Queensland is seeking an experienced stonemason to cut, shape and install natural stone for residential and commercial projects. You will work on-site with benches, walls and architectural applications.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience or AQF Certificate III in Stonemasonry, read drawings, operate stone-cutting machinery, and maintain high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of stonemason experience or AQF Certificate III in Stonemasonry.
• Experience with natural stone (marble, granite, travertine).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with stone-cutting machinery and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• White Card (Construction Induction) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study plans, drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Cut, shape and polish hard and soft stone blocks and masonry slabs using machines and hand tools.
• Fabricate and prepare stone components for benchtops, paving, cladding and architectural applications.
• Install stone products on-site, including checking vertical and horizontal alignment.
• Construct walls and structures using stone slabs and large masonry blocks.
• Repair and maintain stone structures as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with WHS requirements.
