Job summary

Montrose & New Norfolk VetCentre, part of VetPartners, is seeking two experienced Veterinary Nurses for full-time, 12-month fixed-term contracts with a strong likelihood of ongoing employment beyond the initial term.

You’ll work across anaesthesia, surgical nursing, patient care, and client communications in a modern, collaborative small-animal practice with a wide caseload and ongoing training opportunities. The role includes a 9-day fortnight with Saturday rotations.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent experience).
• Confidence across anaesthesia, surgical nursing, patient care, and client communication.
• Genuine passion for animals and the people who love them.
• A positive, team-first attitude with strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support vets across nursing - anaesthesia, surgical nursing, patient care, and client communication.
• Deliver exceptional care to every patient and a standout experience to every client.
• General nursing tasks including anaesthetic monitoring, patient admission and discharge, IV catheter placement, and blood collection.
• Assisting across a varied caseload including soft tissue, orthopaedic, emergency, and rehabilitation cases.
• Maintaining excellent hygiene across the practice including surgical areas and equipment.
• Working 76 hours a fortnight (across a 9-day fortnight) with Saturdays on rotation
