Ellerslie Farms in Millmerran, QLD, is seeking a mechanically minded maintenance person for a casual day-shift role. You’ll service conveyors, egg belts, nest boxes, and associated infrastructure across our poultry sheds.

You must have strong problem-solving skills, at least 5 years in agricultural maintenance, and be able to work unsupervised in a small team. Forklift licence and Working at Heights are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role in an agricultural environment.
• Good communication with managers, supervisors and tradespeople.
• Forklift operation licence highly regarded.
• Working at Heights certificate highly regarded.
• Experience with cooling systems highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Perform general building and equipment maintenance inside and outside poultry sheds.
• Service and maintain conveyors, egg belts, nest boxes, feed and water lines, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with regular machine services as part of maintenance schedules.
• Assist with job planning, design and/or repairs to support farm operations.
• Complete on-the-job and external training as required.
