Job summary

Pro2Pac on the Gold Coast seeks a skilled Painter to prepare surfaces and apply protective and decorative coatings to timber, MDF, cabinetry and joinery. The role covers factory and on-site work for residential and commercial projects, with focus on finish quality and safety.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent, strong experience with surface prep, paint mixing and spray application, and familiarity with 2-pack coatings.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
• Proven experience in surface preparation, paint mixing and coating application.
• Experience with professional spray-painting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and repair surfaces by cleaning, sanding and filling cracks.
• Mix and prepare paints to match specified colours and finishes.
• Apply primers and topcoats using spray equipment.
• Sand between coats to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Read work instructions and finish specs; adjust as needed.
• Inspect workmanship and carry out touch-ups or recoats.
• Maintain spray gear and comply with safety procedures.
• Work with production team to meet deadlines.
• Carry out painting on-site at residential/commercial properties.
