Job summary

Programmed / PERSOLKELLY is seeking experienced Gardeners and Grounds Maintenance staff for opportunities across Melbourne's outer Western Suburbs. This hands-on role covers parks, gardens, schools, and community spaces, requiring reliable, team-friendly candidates with equipment experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, or similar outdoor roles.
Experience operating ride-on mowers and outdoor maintenance equipment.
Experience towing trailers and transporting equipment.
Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on outdoor work.
Valid Driver's Licence (Manual licence highly regarded).
Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) - Mandatory.
Basic computer literacy and confidence using tablets/apps.

Responsibilities

Perform turf, garden, and general grounds maintenance.
Operate zero turn ride-on mowers (52"-72"), wide area mowers, and other landscaping equipment.
Conduct brush cutting, hard edging, pruning, hedge trimming, and weed removal.
Apply herbicides using knapsack sprayers where required.
Carry out pre-start checks on mowers, trailers, and equipment.
Load/unload and safely tow trailers carrying mowers and machinery.
Use tablets and apps to log jobs and complete digital reporting.
Maintain parks, recreational reserves, roadsides, and community areas to a high standard.
Work collaboratively within a team guided by a Team Leader.
