The role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Water Infrastructure for our Melbourne team to support local and national projects. You will possess a good base of electrical water infrastructure design experience with a passion and willingness to expand your experience and knowledge.

Our water team offers services across the full water cycle, delivering major pipelines, large pumping stations and advanced water, wastewater, and recycling treatment plants.

Responsibilities

With a minimum of 4+ years’ experience, your core responsibilities include :

• Collaborating with Water Infrastructure team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
• Assisting Senior Engineers with detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems with a focus on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, motor control centres and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation and PLCs.
• Contributing to technical reports and specifications for projects (design reports, functional descriptions, technical specifications)
• Applying project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner.

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 4+ years’ experience in electrical design (water or industrial sector preferred
• Knowledge of LV systems, SCADA, instrumentation & relevant standards
• Well-developed communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
