Job summary

University Meat is a locally owned meat producer delivering premium raw and cooked proteins across Victoria. We seek an experienced driver for a refrigerated 1 ton vehicle to service metropolitan Victoria food service establishments and handle pickup runs.

You will work unsupervised, maintain van cleanliness, and ensure stock is secure, with the ability to manage up to 25 kg loads and perform routine temperature checks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering food to customers or establishments.
• Ability to understand and monitor product temperatures during transit.
• Experience leading by example and driving quality.
• Mindset of continuous improvement in processes and safety.
• Strong interpersonal skills for represent the business to customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive company refrigerated 1 ton vehicle (manual/automatic).
• Deliver to metropolitan Victoria food service and pickups.
• Maintain van cleanliness and soap/wash routine.
• Perform daily drops efficiently and timely.
• Work unsupervised with responsible handling of products up to 25 kg.

Driver Delivering Cooked and Raw Meat all over Victoria. Must have experience.

University Meat is an Australian owned and operated manufacturer of premium quality Raw & cooked proteins (Meat). Supplying local Restaurants, Hotels, Hospitals, Age Care, Caterers.

About the role

• Driving company refrigerated 1 ton vehicle, manual and automatic.
• Delivering to metropolitan Victoria food service and pickups.
• Must be able to work unsupervised, in an efficient manner
• Responsible for keeping van clean
• Expected to perform x amount of drops per day in a timely manner.
• Casual with the possible view of being full time

Your Ability

• Good knowledge of Melbourne roads
• Cleaning, washing and maintenance of van
• Curtesy and helpful to all customers
• Quality Control & Checking
• Ensuring all stock is on board - nothing missing
• You will be comfortable to perform manual handling of products weighing up to 25kgs.

Skills and experience

• Prior experience delivering food
• Understand temperature checks of products
• You have experience and like to lead by example
• You have a continuous improvement mindset
• Able to represent the business when delivering to customers - people person.
