Job summary

Busy Barber on the Gold Coast is seeking a fully qualified and highly skilled barber to join our family-run team. You will deliver modern and traditional barbering services to a diverse clientele in a community-focused shop.

We offer regular hours, 8.5 hour shifts, a supportive work environment, and a realistic bonus and tips system to reward excellent service.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Barbering is required.
• Must be reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to work unsupervised and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build loyal clients.
• Positive, proactive communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-quality haircuts (at least 3 per hour).
• Provide clipper and scissor cuts, fades, and cut-throat services.
• Perform dry and wet shaves.
• Provide beard trims and lineups.
• Offer kids cuts (High School, Primary & Under).
• Clean station, tools and towels regularly; maintain hygiene.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Handle cash and reconciling; manage tills.
• Assist with opening and closing the shop.

Key responsibilities

Complete high-quality haircuts efficiently (at least 3 good quality haircuts within an hour)

Provide clippers and scissor style cuts, fades, cut throat services

Perform dry and wet shaves

Provide beard trims and line ups

Provide kids cuts (High School, Primary & Under)

Clean your station, tools and towels routinely

Perform basic housekeeping

Handle cash and reconciling

Assist with opening and closing the shop

About you

Holds a Certificate III in Barbering

Reliable, punctual and professional

Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work unsupervised

Prioritises exceptional customer service

Possesses strong interpersonal skills to build genuine connections and loyal clients

Communicates positively and effectively with clients and colleagues
