Job summary

Balance Recruitment is seeking a senior Cyber Threat Intelligence & Hunt Manager to lead proactive cyber defence across a complex environment in Australia. This role sits at the intersection of threat intelligence, advanced threat hunting, incident response, executive risk management and cyber strategy.

Reporting to the Head of IT Security Operations, you will help ensure the organisation stays ahead of evolving adversaries rather than simply reacting to incidents.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting and Threat Modelling.
• Strong understanding of adversary behaviours and attack frameworks.
• Experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading and maturing the Cyber Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting functions.
• Identifying emerging threats, adversary TTPs and attack trends relevant to the organisation.
• Conducting advanced threat assessments and threat modelling activities.
• Driving proactive threat hunting initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Translating intelligence findings into improved detections, controls and remediation activities.
• Supporting cyber incident response activities during significant security events.
• Delivering threat landscape briefings and risk-based reporting to senior leadership.
• Building strong relationships with government agencies and industry intelligence partners.
