Job summary

Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) seeks a General Manager, Research to lead the research portfolio and a team of Research Program Managers. The role reports to the CEO and aligns portfolio investments with Australia’s international development priorities and ACIAR’s strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead ACIAR's research portfolio and a team of Research Program Managers to deliver high-quality research and capacity-building programs.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Executive to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure investments are targeted, evidence-based and deliver measurable development impact in line with policy and strategic direction.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive research function with responsible stewardship of public resources and strong engagement with domestic and international partners.
