Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Executive team as Executive Director Quality & Improvement. This pivotal role shapes organisation-wide quality, safety, patient experience and continuous improvement across a multi-site, 7,500+ staff health service.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and partner with clinicians, government and consumers to deliver safe, high-quality care and drive evidence-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in complex healthcare settings.
• Strong understanding of Victorian and Australian public health systems.
• Track record leading governance, quality, safety and improvement agendas.
• Experience delivering large-scale strategic projects and service redesign.
• Ability to partner with clinicians, executives, government and consumers.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for quality, safety and continuous improvement across SVHM.
• Lead development and execution of the quality and improvement strategy.
• Provide assurance to CEO, Executives and Board on quality and performance.
• Strengthen clinical governance, risk management and accreditation.
• Drive learning from incidents and foster a just culture.
• Champion patient and consumer experience including lived-experience in service design.
