Job summary

The Cabinet Office in NSW seeks an experienced Executive Director, Policy, to lead the Energy, Environment and Primary Industries branch and drive evidence-based policy across government.

You will provide timely, impartial advice to the Deputy Secretary, the Secretary, the Premier and Cabinet, shaping legislation, programs and machinery of government while engaging with industry and partners to find practical solutions to complex issues.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in public policy development and reform.
• Ability to provide balanced, evidence-based advice on politically sensitive issues.
• Strong understanding of Cabinet, parliamentary and Budget processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy branch strategy, research and policy development.
• Provide timely advice to Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Premier and Cabinet.
• Manage Cabinet processes for portfolio areas.
• Collaborate with industry and NGOs to find practical solutions.
