Shire of Capel seeks a strategic Director to provide executive leadership across community planning and development. You will drive service delivery for libraries, planning, building and environmental health, and report to the CEO as part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Significant Local Government experience in community development and statutory planning is highly regarded, with a strong planning background essential for shaping the Shire’s future.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in community development and planning within Local Government.
• Proven ability to lead senior managers and build organisational capability.
• Experience in governance and executive decision-making within a public sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for community planning and development services.
• Lead the development of Local Planning Scheme and planning vision for the Shire.
• Foster a culture of safety, customer service and high performance.
