Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Senior Executive Committee, the Executive Director Communications, Engagement and Behaviour Change leads an expanded division

Qualifications

• Executive leader across communications, engagement, behaviour change, or regulatory functions.
• Experience in complex public sector, statutory authority or regulator environment.
• Expertise in strategic communications, media, digital channels, stakeholder engagement, behaviour change and public trust.
• Strong political acumen, sound judgement and trusted advice.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and cultures of accountability.
• Driven to make a tangible impact through risk-based regulation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic, media and digital communications, industry capability uplift, place-based engagement and First Nations engagement and partnerships.
• Drive culture and practice change to embed communications and engagement earlier in regulatory decision-making.
• Position EPA Victoria with a single, authoritative voice and proactive external presence aligned to regulatory priorities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing communications, engagement and behaviour change team.
