Job summary

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, part of Sydney Local Health District, is seeking an Administrative Assistant on a temporary full-time basis until October 2027. The role reports to the Head of the Neuropathology Department and supports high-level secretarial and administration tasks to ensure efficient department operations.

The ideal candidate will coordinate TESL and official travel, draft briefs and correspondence, and deliver excellent service as the first point of contact for the department.

About The Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Administrative Assistant is responsible to the Head of the Neuropathology Department RPAH for the provision of high level secretarial and administration support to the Department. The incumbent will ensure a high standard of service delivery, effective resource management, compliance with the specialty regulations, records management and effective and efficient operation of the business processes of the Neuropathology Service.

This position will be working Monday to Friday, during regular day time business hours.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience coordinating TESL and Official Travel arrangements.
  • Experience drafting briefs and correspondence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, as this role will be the first point of contact for calls and enquiries to the department.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to multitask, managing multiple and competing priorities effectively.
