Job summary

Respect in Wangaratta is seeking a General Manager to lead our St Johns aged care home. Based in Wangaratta, the role focuses on safe, person-centred care and strong operational performance to deliver high-quality resident experiences.

You will steer day-to-day operations, financial performance, workforce leadership and regulatory compliance while nurturing a compassionate, values-driven culture with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the home with a strong focus on quality, compliance and person-centred care
• Drive a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement and positive consumer outcomes
• Lead, coach and develop teams to achieve high performance and foster a positive workplace culture
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Oversee quality improvement, risk management, audits, incident reporting and documentation practices
• Manage occupancy, budgets, financial performance, workforce planning and rostering
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff and the local community
• Promote workplace health and safety and a values-driven environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
