Job description

We are exclusively partnering with a founder-led AI infrastructure company, that designs, builds and operates high-performance AI Factories. These facilities are engineered to operate as assets to the energy grid, actively strengthening the communities and regions they serve rather than drawing from them.

The Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be a senior member of the Legal team providing strategic, commercially focused legal support across the company’s customer, technology and IP activities. You will serve as a trusted adviser to business leaders on complex legal, commercial and regulatory matters, helping the organisation identify opportunities, manage risk and execute its growth strategy.

Working closely with teams across sales, product, technology, operations, security and commercial functions, you will support the negotiation and management of customer and commercial arrangements that underpin the AI platform. You will lead legal support for significant customer engagements, technology initiatives and intellectual property matters, while delivering practical, solutions-oriented advice in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.

This is an opportunity to work on industry-leading projects at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, cloud computing and technology while contributing to the growth of one of the region’s most innovative infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structuring, negotiation and ongoing management of key customer contracts and strategic commercial deals that support the company’s AI and high-performance computing platform.
  • Provide specialist advice on technology, software, SaaS and broader IT contracting matters.
  • Advise on the protection, licensing and commercialisation of intellectual property.
  • Support the business on regulatory compliance across privacy, data protection and export control requirements.
  • Advise on consumer law and fair trading issues.
  • Deliver practical legal support on product, platform and technology-related matters.
  • Drive proactive legal risk management and ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain scalable legal templates, policies and frameworks that enable rapid growth while preserving strong governance.

About You

  • Minimum 8+ post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Experience gained in a top-tier law firm and/or a sophisticated in-house legal environment.
  • Strong experience across technology, privacy, data protection, customer contracting, consumer law and commercial contracting.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex customer, technology and commercial arrangements.
  • Strong commercial judgment and a pragmatic approach to legal risk.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and provide clear, solutions-focused advice in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in technology, cloud, software, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, AI or data centre sectors would be ideal.
  • Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, technology procurement, software licensing and cross-border regulatory matters.

What’s On Offer

  • Founder-led environment with fast decisions, accessible leaders and early ownership.
  • Direct impact on outcomes as the business scales nationally across a long-term AI infrastructure roadmap.
  • Work at the intersection of AI, digital infrastructure, cloud computing and next-generation compute alongside founders and domain experts.
  • Opportunity to help shape how the AI industry looks for decades to come, with AI Factories designed as net-positive assets for the energy grid and local communities.
  • Inclusive culture: you don’t need a perfect background — if you’re driven and curious, there’s a path for you. The company backs its people to grow into new domains.
