A plumbing and drainage company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for residential new-builds in Geelong. The role requires driving a HR truck, loading excavators, and handling sewer, stormwater, and water service installations. Ideal candidates will have an HR licence, excavator ticket, and strong knowledge of drainage systems. This is a full-time role with an immediate start and great pay for the right experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HR beavertail truck to and from site.
  • Unload and load the excavator safely.

  • Follow plans and builder requirements.
  • Work closely with plumbing team.

Excavator Operator – New Home Builds (Geelong)

We’re chasing an experienced Excavator Operator/HR Truck Driver for residential new-build plumbing and drainage work. This is a hands‑on role for someone who knows their way around sewer, stormwater and water service installs.

Full‑Time | Immediate Start

What the role involves
  • Driving a HR beavertail truck to and from site
  • Unloading and loading the excavator safely
  • Completing full sewer/stormwater installations
  • Installing water meters and lead‑ins
  • Following plans, levels and builder requirements
  • Keeping paperwork and job notes tidy
  • Working closely with plumbers, apprentices and supervisors
What you must have
  • HR licence
  • Excavator ticket
  • Proven experience in residential volume‑builder drainage
  • Strong knowledge of sewer and stormwater layouts
  • Understanding of mains water service installs
  • BPC registration (formerly VBA registration) – essential
  • Ability to work in a team and keep jobs moving
  • A safe approach to trenches, excavation and OH&S
  • Good attitude and solid work ethic
Bonus skills (not essential but handy)
  • Experience installing gas services
  • Knowledge of volume‑builder admin systems
  • Ability to identify site issues before they turn into dramas
