Job summary

Thiess is seeking an Excavator Operator for Gruyere Gold Mine to join a high-performing Production Mining Team. You will contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining safety, quality and teamwork.

Experience operating Liebherr 9600 excavators and loading haul trucks in a hard rock mining environment is essential. Benefits include a modern camp village and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

The Theiss mining operation at Gruyere delivers load and haul, drill and blast, crushing and screening, as well as LV/HV maintenance.

We are currently seeking experienced mining production operators to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our mining operation. Successful applications will have a strong commitment to safety, experience achieving production targets, a reliable work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.

About the Role

As our next Excavator Operator at Gruyere Gold Mine, you will join a high-performing Production Mining Team where your skills and experience will contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.

• Experience operating the equivalent of a Liebherr 9600 excavators in a hard rock production mining operation – 3-5 years minimum
• Proven experience safely loading haul trucks in a mining production environment
• Sound knowledge of ore mark-ups and pit configurations
• Ability to mine out benches and cut batters to design specifications

• Contribute to being a positive team player, supporting your crew throughout the shift and for the continuous growth of our mining operation

Licence & Compliance Requirements:

• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance
• Online Inductions – Thiess and the client
