Animal Referral Hospital in Essendon Fields, VIC is seeking a Part-time ECC Nurse Assistant to join our 24/7 veterinary team. The role offers 20 hours per week with evening and weekend shifts, working under experienced nurses and veterinarians to deliver compassionate care.

You will assist with monitoring hospitalized patients, administer medications, maintain hygiene, handle and restrain animals with care, and help with cage cleaning and daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in the animal care industry is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle animals with gentleness and confidence.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinary nurses and veterinarians as required
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients (under ECC team guidance)
• Administer medications as directed by the ECC team
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of hospital facilities
• Handle and restrain animals with care and compassion
• Animal cage cleaning and re-setting, cleaning patient bowls

Formation

Cert IV in Vet Nursing
