Job summary

Cleanworks Australia is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Cleaner to supervise and support a cleaning team across school sites in Paralowie, South Australia. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership to deliver high-quality cleaning standards while guiding the team to achieve excellent results for students and staff.

Part-time role with evening shifts, offering a Leading Hand Allowance. WWCC and Police Check are required, with responsibilities spanning classrooms, offices and common areas

Qualifications

• Valid and current WWCC and Police Check.
• Experience in periodical cleaning (carpet cleaning, window cleaning, scrubber machines) is an advantage.
• Professional, well-presented and confident working in a school environment.
• Able to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising a team of commercial cleaners.
• Allocating daily cleaning tasks and ensuring completion to required standards.
• Conducting quality checks and providing feedback and support to team members.
• Training and assisting new team members with cleaning procedures and site requirements.
• Maintaining strong communication with management and site contacts.
• Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff areas and common spaces.
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and amenities.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces.
• Managing consumables, equipment and reporting maintenance issues.
• Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
• Supporting school holiday cleaning requirements when required.
