Job summary

Matrix Education seeks a Secondary English Teacher for Year 7–10 at our Chatswood and Bella Vista campuses in Sydney. Regular weekly hours, immediate start, and a supportive team environment.

You'll deliver prepared lessons, monitor student progress, and collaborate with Senior Tutors. A passion for literature, NSW English curriculum knowledge, and prior secondary teaching experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for literature and teaching.
• Thorough knowledge of the current NSW English curriculum (Stages 4–6).
• Experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting.
• Tertiary qualifications in Education, Journalism, Media or Communications; postgraduate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach regular weekly classes; materials and resources are provided.
• Monitor student progress through weekly homework and marking.
• Act as a reporting line for Senior Tutors.
