Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking an Estimator to join the Commercial & Tendering Team, driving timely tender submissions and comprehensive cost estimates aligned with client specifications. You will support the Senior Estimator and contribute to ongoing tender improvements.

The role requires a tertiary mining engineering qualification and at least 5 years in mining engineering or site-based roles, with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining).
• Experience in mining industry and site-based roles preferred.
• Strong ability to coordinate tender submissions and assess bids.
• Excellent cost estimation methods and risk analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and update the Senior Estimator; prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders.
• Review and assess tenders to ensure all documents are received and correct.
• Evaluate tender scope, risks, and complexity; provide feedback to senior team.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tender documents.
• Make tender amendments using client feedback to improve outcomes.
• Maintain understanding of current projects for continuous tendering improvements.
• Maintain the tendering database and understand current project operations.
