Job summary

CivilandScape in Rozelle, NSW, seeks an experienced landscape and civil works Estimator. You will work from our Rozelle Head Office on a diverse range of projects from high end residential to high-rise city centre commercial projects.

The successful candidate will join a diligent team and help drive competitive tender submissions. The candidate should have at least 2 years of full-time estimating experience, related tertiary education, familiarity with industry standards, strong communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ full-time experience in Construction, Civil and Landscaping Estimators

Responsibilities

• Assist and work collaboratively with the Managing Director, General Manager and Project Manager
• Search, track, monitor and maintain tenders including tender requests, live tender, expressions of interest and project prospects
• Review, interpret and analyse technical drawings, scope of works, specifications, reports and the like
• Complete detailed plan take-offs, bill of quantities and project costs
• Identify and illustrate project requests for information, clarification, risk analysis, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions
• Prepare detailed tender submissions for management review and sign off
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor and negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to ensure pricing remains competitive
• Build preferred supplier and subcontractor list in conjunction with the Project Team
• Monitor and analyse market pricing and client feedback for the purpose of identifying the company’s competitiveness and position in the market
• Assist in market analysis and identifying opportunity for new work and new sources of cashflow and income
• Reporting including statical reporting against company KPI’s
• Assist the General Manager in building company processes and procedures within your department

PREREQUISITES

The candidate must fulfill the following prerequisites to be able to apply for this position:

• Must have industry knowledge and experience (Construction, Civil and Landscaping Estimators experience). Minimum 2 years’ fulltime experience
• Related tertiary education and qualification
• Familiar with Construction / Civil & Landscape industry standards and methodologies
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Have good written and computing skills
• Current White Card NSW

THE ROLE

ROLE OFFER

• Working hours are generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm from Monday to Friday (5 DAY WEEK)
• Annual salary based on experience
