Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Estimator within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). You will develop robust, transparent cost estimates to inform business cases, investment decisions and budget planning, working closely with project teams, finance, risk and scheduling stakeholders.

You will join a newly established EPMO team that acts as a centre of excellence for project delivery, governance and portfolio management, supporting Airservices' enterprise transformation agenda.

Qualifications

• Experience in project estimating within complex environments.
• Strong analytical capability including cost modelling and estimating tools.
• Knowledge of bottom-up, parametric, analogous or three-point estimating methods.

The Role & The Team

As an Estimator within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), you'll provide expert cost estimating support across a portfolio of complex programs and projects. You'll develop robust, transparent and defensible cost estimates that support business cases, investment decisions, budget planning and project delivery.

Working closely with project teams, technical specialists, finance, risk and scheduling stakeholders, you'll analyse project requirements, challenge assumptions, assess cost drivers and provide evidence‑based cost advice that supports informed decision‑making.

You'll join a newly established EPMO team that acts as a centre of excellence for project delivery, governance and portfolio management, supporting Airservices' enterprise transformation agenda.

The Person

You are analytical, commercially minded and enjoy translating complex information into meaningful insights. You thrive in environments where attention to detail, professional judgement and stakeholder engagement are critical to organisational success.

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience in project estimating, cost engineering, project controls or a similar discipline within complex environments
• Strong analytical capability, including experience with cost modelling, spreadsheets and estimating tools
• Knowledge of estimating approaches such as bottom‑up, parametric, analogous or three‑point estimating
• Ability to analyse technical, commercial and project information to build robust cost models
• Experience partnering with stakeholders to validate assumptions and challenge cost drivers
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, finance, project management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
