Carfax Commercial Constructions Established in 1998, is a Commercial building company who operates in NSW and Queensland with offices in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Carfax specialise in the commercial construction sector including new builds, fit outs and refurbishments, Heritage conservation, restoration and adaptive reuse projects and for clients in the Education, Sporting, Government, and tourism industries.

Many of our projects are constructed in live environments or in environmentally sensitive locations.

We are looking for an Estimator for our growing team located in our office in Coolum Beach.

Your key tasks will include (but not limited to):

• Reading and interpreting Specifications, Drawings and Documentation
• Measuring and preparing accurate BOQ’s and cost estimates for tender
• Prepare trade packages, liaise with and obtain subcontractor quotations
• Reporting to the Directors during the tender period
• Presenting tenders for internal review with Management
• Looking for competitive advantages to incorporate into our tenders
• Meeting tight deadlines and managing your workload

The successful candidate will require the following skills and attributes:

• Tertiary education (Degree) or Equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 Years of relevant Estimating experience in commercial construction sector.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills – both oral and written
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
• Excellent attention to detail
• Problem solving and information management skills
• Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
