Job summary

NSW Trustee and Guardian is seeking a Branch Officer in Broken Hill to manage deceased estates and estate planning documents. The role covers administration, drafting wills and powers of attorney, and maintaining relationships with beneficiaries and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will handle 40–70 estates, work with internal teams, and participate in accreditation within six months. Hybrid work may be available after a 3-month period.

Qualifications

• Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Willingness to learn NSW Trustee and Guardian processes including Estates, Trusts and Powers of Attorney.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Wills and other legal documents.
• Collate and submit applications to the courts.
• Draft estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney and enduring guardianship.
• Communicate with banks, insurers, government agencies and beneficiaries.
• Distribute estate assets and manage beneficiary updates.
