Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an ERP Finance Functional Consultant to support a finance transformation moving from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2. The role requires experience across enterprise finance systems and participation in at least 1–2 PeopleSoft FSCM projects.

The candidate will analyse requirements, optimise processes, configure system functionality, and support financial operations across a global project with stakeholders in AU, US and India.

Qualifications

• ERP finance experience across enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets.
• Experience in at least 1–2 PeopleSoft FSCM projects in a functional role.
• Exposure to PeopleSoft Finance modules: GL, AP, Asset Management, Pay Cycle.
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and engaging stakeholders.
• Ability to produce functional specifications and support delivery.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Job description

NTT DATA is seeking an ERP Finance Functional Consultant to support a critical finance transformation initiative involving the migration of core financial processes from Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) to PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.

This role is ideal for a strong finance focused ERP consultant who has worked across enterprise finance systems and has participated in at least 1-2 PeopleSoft FSCM projects.

• Initial 6 month contract
• Sydney CBD location

Please note: This is a global project with stakeholders and delivery teams located across Australia, the US and India. Flexibility to attend occasional after-hours meetings and project calls during the week will be required to support collaboration across time zones.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and finance teams to analyse requirements, optimise business processes, configure system functionality, support financial operations, and contribute to ongoing ERP initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and ERP solutions
• Configure and support ERP finance processes and related business functions
• Support core finance modules and processes including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets / Asset Management, Financial Reporting, Month-End and Year-End Close activities
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancement
• Support financial reconciliations, controls and compliance requirements
• Assist with testing, deployment, training and post-implementation support activities
• Troubleshoot functional issues and work collaboratively with technical teams to deliver solutions
• Participate across the full project lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing and production support

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as an ERP Functional Consultant, Finance Systems Consultant or ERP Business Analyst
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, particularly General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets
• Experience working on at least 1-2 PeopleSoft FSCM projects in a functional capacity
• Exposure to PeopleSoft Finance modules such as GL, AP, Asset Management, Pay Cycle, Positive Pay or related financial processes
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops and engaging with business stakeholders
• Ability to produce functional specifications and support solution delivery
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting ERP implementation, upgrade, optimisation or transformation initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Regarded

• PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 as well as experience with other ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, TechnologyOne, Dynamics 365 or Workday
• Financial reporting including P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance reporting
• Month-end and year-end financial processing
• Chart of Accounts management and financial controls
• Financial reconciliations, compliance and audit support
• Experience within large enterprise, government or complex corporate environments
