Job summary

Redleaf Group in Toowoomba, Queensland is seeking a capable Environmental Scientist to support a range of ecological projects. You will conduct fieldwork, ecological surveys, habitat assessments, biodiversity monitoring, and assist with fauna management and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or related discipline (essential).
• 0–3 years' experience (graduates encouraged to apply).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Current Driver's Licence (essential).
• Construction Induction - White Card (essential).
• Physically fit and capable of fieldwork in varying conditions.
• Flexible and willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
• Reliable, practical, and team-oriented.
• Hands-on environmental work from day one.
• Work across a variety of environmental and ecological projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducting fieldwork such as ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and biodiversity monitoring.
• Assisting with fauna management and compliance requirements.
• Undertaking desktop research and reviewing environmental data.
• Supporting the preparation of environmental reports, approvals, and documentation.
• GIS mapping and spatial data management.
