Job summary

Enerven is seeking an Environment Consultant to support NSW energy infrastructure projects, including transmission, BESS and renewables. You will provide practical environmental guidance, review approvals, and help ensure project compliance while minimising community and environmental impacts.

You’ll work with project delivery teams across tender, planning, construction and delivery stages, including on-site advisory, inspections, and risk management, with regular site travel across NSW.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Management, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Environmental experience in construction, infrastructure or similar operational environments.
• Sound knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with environmental management plans, site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence project teams and contractors.
• A current driver's licence and Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical environmental advice and support to Project Managers, Construction Managers and site teams across multiple NSW projects.
• Review tender documentation, environmental approvals and project requirements to identify risks and costs.
• Develop, review and support the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and controls.
• Undertake site inspections, audits and environmental risk assessments to monitor compliance.
• Work with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to manage environmental requirements including vegetation, biodiversity and contamination.
• Support incident management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify environmental risks and develop practical solutions with delivery teams.
