Job summary

Peabody is seeking an Environmental Advisor based at the Wambo Complex in New South Wales to provide environmental support to operational teams and manage monitoring programs covering water, air quality, noise, dust and biodiversity.

The role involves coordinating environmental contractors, ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining management plans and fostering stakeholder relationships, with a Monday to Friday roster in the Hunter Valley region.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in an environmental role within mining, resources, infrastructure or heavy industry.
• Experience managing environmental contractors and consultants.
• Experience in environmental monitoring, data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals and compliance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• GIS capability and experience.
• A proactive approach and strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
