Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Payroll Officer to support end‑to‑end payroll operations on the southern city fringe. The role offers hands‑on experience in payroll and finance within a dynamic team and a casual full‑time hours arrangement for up to 3 months with potential extension.

Based in the city fringe of the southern suburbs, you will gain exposure to processing, data maintenance, and payroll reporting while developing skills in Excel and payroll software

Qualifications

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good proficiency in Excel and general accounting/payroll software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a team.

Responsibilities

• Processing high‑volume end‑to‑end payroll accurately and on time.
• Setting up new employee profiles and maintaining master data files.
• Interpreting awards, agreements, and timesheets.
• Managing payroll queries from employees with prompt and polite service.
• Calculating superannuation, leave accruals, and termination payments.
• Assisting with end‑of‑month reconciliation and payroll reporting.
