Verkada is hiring an Enterprise Solutions Engineer in Melbourne. You will partner with Territory Enterprise AE's to expand Verkada's footprint in Fortune 500 companies, focusing on Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux, and Access Control.

This full-time remote role requires Melbourne residency and allows travel for customer engagements. You will drive technical design sessions, lead demonstrations, and collaborate with Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement to deliver winning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, cybersecurity, networking, IT security, or related field.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT and VLANs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with presentation skills.
• Strong account management and attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Experience with IT infra, Linux, APIs, Python and coding languages.
• Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect are a plus.
• Based in Melbourne and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Advise CTOs, CISOs, IT execs, security and network engineers.
• Understand and navigate customer requirements.

About the Role

Verkada is seeking a Solutions Engineer in Melbourne with expert experience in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux systems, Security Surveillance and Access Control. This individual will partner directly with their Territory Enterprise Account Executives to expand the Verkada footprint upmarket into Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include directly interfacing with customers/partners throughout the sales process, overcoming technical objections, assisting customers in designing deployments with Verkada Products and providing technical assistance to territory Enterprise AE's. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to learn quickly and work independently while making impactful results for the company remotely.

This is a full-time remote position; applicants must be located in Melbourne.

What You'll Do

• Be the trusted technical advisor to key customer stakeholders: CTOs, CISOs, IT Executives, Security Engineers, Network Engineers, Head of Physical Security, etc
• Utilise your technical expertise to understand and navigate customer requirements
• Collaborate with the sales team to assess and qualify Enterprise customer opportunities, and contribute to the design of effective technical solutions
• Lead product demonstrations and deliver engaging presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Act as the Verkada technical Subject Matter Expert, collaborating closely with other departments such as Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement
• This role requires regular travel, estimated to be 40% of the time, including both domestic and international destinations as needed. The successful candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel to support business operations, customer and partner engagements and team collaboration

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering or related degree from an accredited university
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs and L2 devices
• Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities
• Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
• Experience working with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, Python, and other coding languages preferred
• Industry certifications are a plus: Network +, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.
• Must be located in Melbourne
• Must be willing and able to travel
