Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking an Enterprise Risk Business Partner to help business leaders understand, own and manage risk, translating priorities into consistent execution and decision-ready insights.

You’ll partner with leaders as their risk adviser, perform hands-on risk work, and translate enterprise priorities into practical delivery while coordinating activities and insights for governance forums.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Line 2 risk advisory or related risk programmes.
• Deep understanding of risk frameworks including risk appetite, controls and assurance.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Ability to translate enterprise priorities into practical risk delivery.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with business leaders as their Line 2 risk adviser, providing practical support, independent oversight and constructive challenge on risk profiles and risk management practices.
• Undertake hands-on risk work, including risk assessments, deep dives, root cause analysis and reviews of controls, issues, assurance outcomes and risk appetite metrics and guardrails.
• Translate Enterprise Risk priorities into practical delivery, coordinating agreed activities, tracking progress and integrating risk insights into a coherent view for the areas you support.
• Prepare clear, consistent and decision-ready insights for senior stakeholders and governance forums, while working across Risk & Ethics to prioritise uplift activity and strengthen risk ownership.

What we’re looking for:

Core Skills

• Strong experience in Line 2 risk, business partnering, internal audit, enterprise risk transformation or risk programme delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• A deep understanding of risk management frameworks and practices, including risk assessment, controls, issues, assurance and risk appetite, together with experience operating within the Three Lines of Accountability.
• Proven ability to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders, strengthening risk ownership and accountability without relying on formal authority.
• The ability to translate strategy into practical execution and synthesise risk, controls and assurance information into concise, decision-ready insights and executive-level reporting.

Desirable Skills

• Experience partnering with business or enabling functions, supporting management or Board-level governance, and working with GRC platforms, risk data or dashboards.
• Experience in a professional services or partnership environment, supported by relevant risk, audit, governance, compliance, CA or CPA qualifications.
