Job summary

Valrose is seeking an experienced architect to lead a complex Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration for a large production environment in Australia. You will oversee discovery, dependency mapping, data-lineage, and performance optimization while shaping the target PostgreSQL architecture and migration sequencing.

The role requires deep Oracle and PostgreSQL expertise, hands-on conversion of PL/SQL to PostgreSQL, and ensuring high availability, DR, and secure operations across the platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience architecting heterogeneous Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations in large production environments.
• Deep Oracle PL/SQL expertise including business logic, packages and triggers.
• Strong PostgreSQL architecture, PL/pgSQL, indexing and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead current-state discovery and assessment of the Oracle estate to map dependencies and migration risks.
• Define end-to-end Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration strategy and target-state architecture.
