Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Assurance Standards Specialist to shape and strengthen enterprise assurance standards, governance frameworks, and related systems across a highly regulated environment.

You will coordinate engagement with assurance providers, develop enterprise reporting, and support reviews and investigations to bolster governance and risk management. A strong background in risk and internal audit is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in assurance, internal audit, risk management or compliance.
• Experience developing assurance standards and governance.
• Strong ability to conduct reviews and evaluate risk.
• Experience preparing reports for senior leaders and governance forums.
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems (ServiceNow IRM preferred).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and written communication.
• Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance or related; professional qualifications like CA/CPA/CIA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve the Enterprise Assurance Standard, methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate engagement across assurance providers and develop reporting insights for senior management and Board forums.
• Support assurance reviews, assessments and investigations to strengthen governance, risk management and control.
• Implement and maintain the assurance system and related reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and organisational resilience.
