Job summary

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is seeking a fellowship-trained ENT Specialist Consultant with cochlear implant and skull base surgery experience. The role focuses on Otology, Lateral Skull Base Surgery and Cochlear Implants to improve patient outcomes across the southern Adelaide community.

Reporting to the Medical Head of Unit, the role provides clinical leadership, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must hold MBBS or equivalent and Specialist qualification.
• Must be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery with fellowship training in Otology, Lateral Skull Base and Cochlear Implants.
• Commitment to high standards of clinical practice in the specialty.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to lead and teach others.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled medical care focusing on Otology, Lateral Skull Base and Cochlear Implants.
• Direct and oversee care of patients under the Staff Specialist.
• Contribute to unit/specialty activities including on‑call duties for safe clinical services.
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of medical, nursing, allied health and other staff.
