Job summary

St John of God Subiaco Hospital in Subiaco, WA, is seeking casual Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join the Day Surgery team. You will deliver perioperative care across a 46-bed unit, supporting preoperative education, intraoperative workflows, and postoperative recovery while upholding patient safety and dignity.

Candidates must hold current AHPRA registration as RN or EN; perioperative experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
• Perioperative nursing or surgical/critical care experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to cover early morning or late shifts (6:30am–2:30pm; 12:00pm–8:00pm).

These include Cardiology, Orthopaedic, ENT, Vascular, Gynaecology, Paediatric, Plastics and General Surgery.In this role you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures while ensuring that their experience aligns with the values that define our hospital. Your role will include patient assessment, pre-operative education and post-surgical care with a focus on fostering a supportive and safe environment for all patients.Casual positions are available, offering flexibility while still allowing you to be part of a team committed to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.**Shift Availability requirements*** Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts per week.* Ability to cover shifts between **6:30am-2:30pm** and **12:00pm-8:00pm**.* Shift lengths vary between **6, 8 and 10 hours**.**The Position:*** Deliver outstanding patient care, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect.* Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide optimal outcomes for patients.* Be a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights are upheld and their voices are heard.* Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment for patients and their families.* Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.* Assist in managing patient flow and provide pre and post-operative care.You will hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
