Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is offering a Permanent Full Time Enrolled Nurse Transitional Support Program at St George Hospital. The role supports the RN in delivering high-quality nursing care and adheres to NSW Health policies and the SESLHD standards.

The position requires current EN registration, medicines administration qualification, and strong communication skills within a multidisciplinary team. Salary is $75,011.91–$81,508.14 plus superannuation; 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Holds a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification in medicines administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
• Supports working in a person centered environment.
• Current professional practice knowledge base.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Demonstrated successful completion of a Nursing Diploma by 30 September 2026.

Responsibilities

• The EN delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Assists in the provision of nursing care and adheres to NSW Health policies and procedures.
• Maintains professional standards and accountable for personal actions in everyday clinical practice.
