Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking soon to be or newly qualified Enrolled Nurses to join our Transition to Professional Practice program, commencing 9 November 2026 & 15 March 2027. The program is a 12-month transition offering temporary/full and part-time positions until 7 November 2027, across multiple facilities including Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse and eligibility for registration with AHPRA upon completion of Diploma in Nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated evidence of recent clinical placement in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with a holistic approach.
• Work under direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Consult with the Registered Nurse to ensure delegation aligns with competence and policy.
