Job summary

NSW Health in Sydney is seeking an Enrolled Nurse for casual roles across Liverpool and Yagoona. You will provide medications, assistance with daily living, mobility support, and liaise with medical teams to deliver holistic care.

Requirements include registration as an Enrolled Nurse, a Diploma of Nursing, and at least 1 year of clinical/disability support experience. A valid Australian driver’s licence and PEG feeding experience are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or disability support setting.
• A valid Australian driver's licence and ability to drive a 12-seater or wheelchair-accessible van.
• Proven experience with PEG feeding and safe swallowing practices.
• Epilepsy management and acquired brain injury care.
• Bowel care including enemas and suppositories.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living tasks, including domestic duties.
• Assist with mobility and positioning using manual handling techniques and hoist equipment.
• Follow and implement structured routines to ensure consistency in care delivery.
• Liaise with GPs, RNs, allied health professionals, and families to ensure holistic, coordinated care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.
• Be available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight, weekends, and public holidays.
• Flexible work options: discuss and negotiate your preferred location between Liverpool and Yagoona.
