Job summary

BaptistCare Abbey Gardens in Warragul, VIC, is seeking an Enrolled Nurse for a casual on-site role. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with casual loading and NFP benefits, across mornings, afternoons or night shifts.

You will provide patient-centered clinical care, support the care team, and uphold medication safety while staying within scope and standards. Registration and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no conditions or undertakings).
• Experience in aged care or with elderly people is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable with basic computer literacy (MS Word/Excel).
• Ability to work in a casual, shift-based environment.

THE ROLE

As an Enrolled Nurse at BaptistCare Abbey Gardens Community, you’ll provide safe, high-quality, person-centred clinical care while leading and supporting the care team around you. This is a role with real clinical responsibility and real human connection.

• Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care that keeps residents’ health, wellbeing, and dignity at the centre
• Lead and support care staff, ensuring practice is within scope and standards are upheld
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues
• Ensure safe and compliant medication management
• Contribute actively to continuous improvement and clinical governance
• Maintain your own professional development and currency within your scope of practice

ABOUT YOU

You don’t need a long history in aged care to thrive here — you need solid clinical foundations, a person-centred mindset, and the drive to lead well.

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no conditions or undertakings)
• Experience in aged care or with elderly people (highly desirable but not essential)
• Confident in clinical environments — you’re comfortable guiding a care team and holding the standard
• Strong communicator — clear, respectful, and consistent with residents, families, and staff
• Comfortable with basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold or be willing to obtain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Proof of working rights in Australia
