Job summary

Werin Aboriginal Corporation in Port Macquarie is seeking an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) with immunisation accreditation or willingness to obtain. You will work with GPs, Aboriginal Health Workers and the clinical team to deliver culturally appropriate care in a community-focused health service.

Role includes wound care, chronic disease management, and immunisation support. Training is available to gain accreditation, with a strong emphasis on culturally safe practice and teamwork in a coastal

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed).
• Immunisation accreditation or willingness to obtain (training supported).
• Experience in primary health care or a similar setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to culturally safe practice and working with Aboriginal communities.

Responsibilities

• Support chronic disease management, care planning and follow up.
• Assist with immunisations (or undertake training to become accredited).
• Provide wound care management, including assessment, dressing and ongoing monitoring.
• Provide primary health care support and clinical assistance.
• Support patient engagement and preventative health activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with infection control accreditation and quality standards.

About the Role

As our Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will work closely with General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Workers and the broader clinical team to deliver culturally appropriate care.

You will be supported to develop your skills, including gaining immunisation accreditation if not already held.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting chronic disease management, care planning and follow up

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proficiency in electronic patient record systems
• Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service
