About the Role

Aussie Locums is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse for our client based in the remote town of Normanton, Queensland.

This contract runs from ASAP to 29.09.24 and requires the successful candidate to have previous rural and remote experience, as well as telehealth and emergency experience. Responsibilities include working across the General Ward, Emergency, and Outpatients Department, with triage duties.

About You

You are a confident and experienced Enrolled Nurse who can hit the ground running in remote locations. You have previous experience across rural and remote locations and can demonstrate your experience working across General Wards, Emergency, Outpatients as well as thrive in a telehealth setting.

Minimum Requirements

References

Two referee checks, including one from a line manager within the last three months and one from a colleague within the last twelve months.

Signed and dated CV / Resume

Three forms of certified identification in line with Queensland Health HR Policy B1, certified copies of qualifications, photo for ID (headshot only, JPEG format), evidence of vaccines / immunity as per Queensland Health HR Policy B1 or Vaccine Preventable Diseases and TB Forms, declaration of not being a current QHealth and / or Department of Health employee, scope of practice letter signed by the candidate, criminal history check, proof of AHPRA registration.

Competency Maintenance

Annual maintenance of competencies including:

• BLS
• ALS
• Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK)
• manual and patient handling
• infection control
• aggressive behaviour management
• medication management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012
• responsibilities in relation to the Aged Care Act and elder abuse
